What is the Rule Enforcement Team?

The Rule Enforcement Team (RET) is a dedicated group of specialists from all over the world that works on every game world. They aim to ensure that the rules are applied fairly to all and to unify the investigation of accounts, by having the same criteria for banning and the same punishments on all domains. RET checks for various game rule violations such as multi-accounting, password sharing and the use of bots, but excludes any netiquette violations.

How to contact RET

You can't contact RET directly, but you can communicate with them through your Customer Service Representative and their respective teams by sending a ticket. They work with the Rule Enforcement Team to investigate your query.

Responsibilities of RET

Checking Player Reports: Every time you report another player they are carefully checked by RET. If any violations are detected the appropriate actions are taken.

Investigation of Accounts: Each Rule Enforcement Specialist (RES) actively investigates accounts across multiple game worlds and searches for players who break the game rules.

Ban Reviews: If you have been banned and believe it to be incorrect, you can appeal by contacting Customer Service and asking for a review of your case. A Rule Enforcement Specialist, other than the RES who banned you, will review your case.

Team Organisation

Internally RET is organised according to various roles and responsibilities. Every team member actively participates in discussions focused on improving the efficiency of account investigation, according to their expertise and according to feedback given by Customer Service.

Rule Enforcement Specialist: RES are responsible for account investigation and player reports. They also give their support to other team members in case of consultation for complicated cases and handle the review of bans.

Team Lead: The Team Lead is responsible for the whole organisation of the Rule Enforcement Team, approving complex cases and handling final ban reviews if a ban is potentially incorrect.
