The Museum can store engines you don’t need but would like to keep for later use, such as switching between cargo engines and those carrying passengers. The museum can be found on the third tab after selecting the train icon from the bar at the bottom of the screen.
Whilst an engine is in the museum it is possible to service, sell, or upgrade it, as well as reactivate it to be used on the map. Engines can only be reactivated if you have sufficient space to use engines as per the level of your Engine House.
To add a train to the museum select it from your list of engines and find the option ‘move to the museum’. A new window will open to choose one or more engines to move. Once you have chosen those required, press the confirm button at the bottom of the panel to move them.
More engines can then either be reactivated or purchased.
Once the museum tab has been selected pressing either the arrows next to an engine, or the reactivation button from the top panel, allows trains to be re-activated.
Once the tick boxes have been selected next to the relevant engines it is possible to use the bottom selection box to choose the city they should go to.
Once confirmed using the green confirm button, the engines will be reactivated within your chosen city so that a new schedule can be chosen. Usually, it takes 10 minutes for an engine to be fully re-activated and start its new schedule.
However, it is possible to instantly re-activate trains from the museum by clicking either the instant re-activation button purple button, using instant dispatch vouchers, or if unavailable the gold which requires 3 gold to be spent per train reactivated.
