All players at career level 1 are considered newbies. Each association can have one newbie member within a special slot. They will not occupy a space in the association, but will still have the rights, options, and involvement of a full member.
Once an avatar has been recruited into this special position, they may stay there as long as they remain with the same association no matter their career level. They can even retain the position when the round re-starts if they pre-register with that same association and join within 24 hours of the game world beginning. If they start after this time and their career level is higher than 1 they will no longer be in the newbie position.
A selection of potential recruits is suggested by clicking the recruit button next to the slot on the association screen. Only avatars with a career level of 1 can be recruited into this specific slot.
