Prestige points are the foundation of success in Rail Nation, determining rankings for both individual players and Associations. Here’s a breakdown of how to earn, track, and maximize Prestige for yourself and your team.
You can earn Prestige through various in-game activities:
Delivering Goods and Passengers:
Earn Prestige by delivering passengers between cities and goods to either cities, industries, warehouses, or landmarks. Coordinate with other players in your city to prevent delivery conflicts and to optimise both your points and the city's development.
Tip:
Keep trains serviced and use bonus engines to boost your rank. Monitor waiting times regularly and adjust your trains' schedules for efficiency.
Winning Titles:
Titles are awarded to the top 3 players who delivered the most of a specific good or passengers every day. Maintaining your title across days grants additional Prestige. Titles are displayed in your profile as a badge of honor.
Participating in Competitions:
Join competitions in cities you’re connected to for more Prestige. Remember, these competitions are between players, not cities.
Earning In-Game Achievements (Medals):
Earn medals by completing specific tasks. Some medals unlock later in the game. Collect medals in the Medals menu to gain Prestige.
Tip:
If using the Starter Package, delay collecting medals to maximize the benefits. Avoid maxing out your Engine House level early for optimal package rewards.
Reducing Passenger Waiting Times in Cities:
Use game money or Gold to reduce passenger waiting times and earn Prestige based on your rank in the donation list.
Upgrading Train Station Buildings:
Each building upgrade grants Prestige, with higher levels yielding more points.
Tip:
Focus on essential buildings like the Engine House, Laboratory, and Bank. The Station Concourse grants the most Prestige but requires significant investment.
Association HQ Donations:
Contributing to your Association’s HQ growth increases member slots and your rank in the donation list, boosting Prestige.
Contributing to the City Project:
Donate resources to support city projects, unlocking bonuses and earning additional Prestige.
Converting Lottery Coin Sets:
Collect and convert lottery coin sets in the Lottery building’s “Prizes” menu for Prestige points.
Prestige points are awarded based on the type of activity:
