# Era 6 Passenger Trains

Era 6 Passenger Trains

The sixth era includes 3 passenger trains named after ancient gods and heroes, with one being a bonus engine.

Engines are unlocked using research points generated by the [Laboratory](https://support.rail-nation.com/articles/49) building in your Train Station. Once all required pre-requisites are researched, you can begin developing the next engine. At the end of Era 6, no further coupling system is introduced.

Note: You do not need to research anything from earlier eras to begin researching Era 6 engines. If you're joining late, you can skip previous eras. 

-   **Pluto**
    
    -   Requirements**:**
        
        -   Research the Lindworm cargo engine
            
        -   Research Max. Speed I+II and Tractive Force I upgrades
            
        -   Research Cost: 90 Research Points
            
    -   Note: Pluto is a multi-slot engine, taking up 5 slots. 
        
    -   Unlock: The Olympus cargo train with the Reliability I, Acceleration, and Passenger upgrades
        
    -   Slots: 5 | Reliability: 80% | Acceleration: 3/20 | Speed: 115 km/h | Passengers: 1100
        
-   **Minerva**
    
    -   Requirements**:**
        
        -   Research the Hydra
            
        -   Research Acceleration and Reliability upgrades
            
        -   Research Cost: 100 Research Points
            
    -   Note: Minerva is the last train of the era and has no successor.
        
    -   Slots: 1 | Reliability: 60% | Acceleration: 18/20 | Speed: 330 km/h | Passengers: 150
        
-   **Venus (Bonus)**
    
    -   The Bonus Passenger Trains of Era 6
        
    -   Can be bought in the Rail Nation Shop or won through the lottery
        
    -   Slots: 0 | Reliability: 90% | Acceleration: 20/20 | Speed: 370 km/h | Passengers: 225
