Associations (Corporations)

An Association (or Corporation) is a team where players unite to compete against other associations. Each association has 25 regular member slots plus 1 additional slot reserved for a new player (Career Level 1).

Association Roles:

-   Chair: The Association's leader and main representative in interactions with other teams. They manage the Association's membership, rename the team if needed, and designate friendly or rival relationships. 
    
-   Deputy: Appointed by the chair, deputies support Association leadership and share certain administrative responsibilities. 
    
-   Member: Standard Association role without special permissions. 
    
-   Newbie: An additional slot reserved for a player at Career Level 1. This player can be promoted to a regular member slot if the association has open positions. Benefits of Joining an Association
    

Benefits of Joining an Association:

Joining an association in Rail Nation provides numerous advantages, enhancing gameplay and increasing your chances of winning. Here’s a breakdown of the key benefits:

-   **Competitive Edge and Prestige**
    
    -   Server Victory: Associations compete for the #1 spot in the prestige ranking, essential for winning the server.
        
    -   Endgame Advantage: During the endgame, Prestige from transports depends on your Association’s teamwork and its position in the transport ranking list. An Association with a higher ranking means greater prestige rewards for its members during the end game.
        
-   **Workers and Bonuses**
    
    -   Worker Effects: The game provides a range of bonuses to select from and allows participation in auctions to recruit workers. 
        
    -   Facility Shares: Facility Shares replace the old Majority System for factories, warehouses, and harbors. An association can purchase one share for each facility by investing the required amount of cash; the amount depends on the facility's current level, and members can contribute together. A share is valid only for the current level of that specific facility. Owning one grants every association member a 30% waiting-time bonus at that facility. Multiple associations can own a share in the same facility at the same time. 
        
    -   Association Relations: Set other associations as “friends” or “rivals” to adjust waiting times:
        
        -   Friend Association: A 25% reduction in waiting times.
            
        -   Rival Association: A 50% increase in waiting times for your rival Association, leading to longer waiting times in industries where your Association has the majority.
            
-   **Social and Strategic Support**
    
    -   Team Interaction: Joining an Association gives you access to a community of players, creating opportunities for teamwork.
        
    -   Learning Opportunities: Benefit from experienced players’ advice and tips, helping you master the game faster.
        
-   **Station Bonuses**
    
    -   Bonus Collection: Association members can collect station bonuses on your behalf, adding them directly to your account (excluding bonus video prizes, which go to the collector upon watching the video).
        
-   **Prestige from HQ Donations**
    
    -   Headquarters Donations: Donating to your Association’s headquarters grants you additional prestige points, helping to boost your individual ranking.  You receive more prestige for being one of the first to donate:
        
-   Upgrade Level 1 → 2:
    
    -   Cost per Donation: $500,000
        
    -   Donations Needed: 9
        
    -   Worker Slots: 1 → 2
        
    -   Maximum Prestige Reward (per donation): 10
        
    -   Minimum Prestige Reward (per donation): 2
        
-   Upgrade Level 2 → 3:
    
    -   Cost per Donation: $3,500,000
        
    -   Donations Needed: 17
        
    -   Worker Slots: 2 → 3
        
    -   Maximum Prestige Reward (per donation): 20
